Nissan Juke N-Tec Added to Juke Range

Nissan has added the N-Tec to the Juke crossover range. The Juke N-Tec features enhancements in the styling, equipment and the infotainment system. This new model is based on the entry-level Acentia Premium model and costs £300 more. Styling-wise the N-Tec includes 18-inch black and silver N-Tec alloy wheels wrapped in 225/45 tyres, gloss black B-pillars and door mirrors and black bezels for the bonnet light strips. The interior comprises a gloss black centre console and gloss black door trim finishers.

Fitted as a standard in all N-Tec models is the new Nissan Connect System. This system is controlled with the help of a 5.8 inch colour touchscreen and integrates the Juke’s satellite navigation system with Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones and MP3 players. It also incorporates the latest technology, Google Send-To-Car technology which permits owners to plan and send their route to the car before they leave their house. This new technology also features Google’s Points of Interest (POI) database, local fuel prices and flight information. The other innovative new features are an economy readout that scores drivers according to how economically they’re driving, and a new “exit view” display with lane guidance.

Also available is the Nissan Dynamic Control System which gives the driver an option of selecting the driving mode as well as to change the settings of climate control via the central touchscreen. A choice of three engines is available for the N-Tec model – one 1.5-L diesel and two 1.6-L petrol engines. The entry-level 1.6 produces 115bhp, gets from 0-60mph in 11 seconds, has average economy of 47.1mpg and emits 138g/km of CO2. The 188bhp 1.6 DIG-T, averages 40.9mpg and has CO2 emissions of 159g/km. It is available in either front- or four-wheel drive, with either manual or a CVT transmission. Diesel buyers get a 1.5-L unit that produces 109bhp and has average economy of 57.6mpg and emissions of 129g/km. The Nissan Juke N-tec start at £16,295 for the 1.6-L petrol manual and increase to £20,000 for the 1.6 DIG-T with four-wheel-drive version with CVT transmission.
