Erik Buell Racing Unveils EBR 1190SX
Following the successful introduction of the 1190RX superbike, Erik Buell Racing has unveiled the EBR 1190SX. The true naked streetfighter-style sport bike comes with uncompromised Superbike race-bred performance and handling.
The new motorbike shares the V-Twin engine, featured in the 1190RX that generates a power of 185 crankshaft hp and a torque of 100 lb.-ft. The engine gives the new EBR 1190SX highest performance available in the streetfighter category.
EBR founder and Chief Technical Officer Erik Buell is no stranger to streetfighter-style sport bikes, having defined the category with the introduction of the S1 Lightning in 1995. “The streetfighter classification, which was so revolutionary when we first came to market, is now being used by marketing people for all sorts of motorcycles, including some thinly-disguised standard bikes that have de-tuned or obsolete powertrains,” said Buell.
The motorcycle maker has introduced the new EBR 1190SX at a price of $16,995. The sports bike is available in white, red and black color schemes and shipments to EBR dealers will begin in early July.
